【王覺一╱綜合報導】洋基過去簽下伊良部秀輝與井川慶(見圖)2名日籍投手，表現都不如預期，田中以天價合約加盟洋基，他坦言壓力很大，肩負不能讓日本野球被小看的重任。前天滿39歲的黑田博樹表示，田中有非贏不可的壓力，他會以老大哥身分全力相助。
黑田目前在洛杉磯自主訓練，已進牛棚練投4次，他是洋基投資日本投手當中少數成功案例。老將佩提特(Andy Pettitte)退休後，黑田成為洋基投手一哥，他表示，從現在開始要跟自己挑戰，會全力做好準備。
洋基總教練喬拉第(Joe Girardi)給予田中高度評價，認為他是黑田與達比修有的綜合體，不但可以吃局數，而且是大賽型投手。
