晚期攝護腺癌 新藥延性命

96歲的基督教會創辦長老向爺爺，85歲時確診罹患攝護腺癌，歷經40多次放射線治療後，發現癌細胞轉移又接受荷爾蒙治療，沒想到10年後出現抗藥性，癌細胞又再度轉移到骨頭，由於無藥可用，只能靠化療殺死癌細胞，但也必須承受化療副作用，甚至曾昏厥休克。
台北榮總泌尿部一般泌尿科張延驊主任表示，由於荷爾蒙藥物幾乎都會出現抗藥性，所以像向爺爺這樣的晚期攝護腺癌患者，最後都會面臨無藥可用的窘境，但現在可選擇新型雄性素合成抑制劑，可降低3成死亡率、並減緩疼痛感，但無健保，每個月需自費約11萬元。 (張雅淳／台北報導) 吃喝玩樂蘋果花開放醫師線上回答
